Overview
The role is to manage and lead the INTERPOL Cybercrime Intelligence Unit (CIU), overseeing daily operations and ensuring the production of actionable intelligence to assist member countries in combating cybercrime.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead CIU communication/interactions with member countries and private entities.
- Prioritize, plan, coordinate, and execute threat analysis and development of actionable intelligence products.
- Manage CIU support to dynamic and proactive cyber operational activity.
- Develop and engage with private sector experts and non-governmental international organizations.
- Create standard operating procedures and workflows for managing daily CIU operations.
- Identify, develop, and manage CIU’s tools, sources, and capabilities.
- Supervise and develop the unit’s staff, providing guidance and ensuring quality of deliverables.
- May represent the CTI Assistant Director at different events.
Required Experience
- At least 8 years of experience in a cybercrime intelligence or investigative role.
- Working knowledge of legal issues relating to cybercrime.
- Experience in staff supervision is required.
- Supervision over a criminal intelligence or analysis unit is highly preferable.
- Working knowledge of cyber criminality including (but not limited to) hacking, malware, and other online crimes.
Qualifications
- Five years University education or equivalent.
- Experienced police officer, or official able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience/training in the sector of police area/law enforcement agencies (5 years minimum).
