Overview

The Safety & Wellness Intern will support IRC’s Safety & Wellness Program in providing mental health and psychosocial support services to clients with identified mental and emotional health needs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mental health case management services including referrals, care coordination, advocacy, and accompaniment to appointments.
  • Provide intake assessments and short-term supportive counseling.
  • Support the implementation of support groups and workshops including outreach, curriculum development, group facilitation, interpretation and translation support, and administrative support.
  • Support with ongoing projects including community needs assessments, resource mapping, and partnership-building.
Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a master’s program in social work, mental health, and/or public health.

• Professional proficiency in an additional language (Spanish, Ukrainian, Russian, and French highly preferred).
