Overview
This role serves as a liaison between African cybercrime law enforcement units and the INTERPOL Global Complex of Innovation in Singapore. It coordinates operational activities with regional teams and advises African cybercrime agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational plans targeting African regional cyberthreats.
- Coordinate activities and initiatives to prevent, reduce, and detect cybercrime in Africa.
- Ensure victims are offered support and mitigation strategies.
- Undertake comprehensive risk assessments for operational events.
- Supervise the secure handling and dissemination of intelligence.
- Conduct operational briefings, tasking, and debriefings.
- Support media briefings when necessary.
- Deliver presentations on cybercrime or cybersecurity.
- Lead, inspire, and develop the Africa Cybercrime Operations Desk team.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships and partnerships.
- Apply INTERPOL’s internal policies and guidelines.
- Perform any other duties as required.
Required Experience
- At least 8 years of experience in investigating cybercrime.
- Strong background in conducting operations in cybercrime.
- Knowledge in international co-operation/investigations.
- Experience in working or studying in an international environment.
- Demonstrated experience in staff supervision.
- Experienced police officer, police staff or official able to demonstrate equivalent professional experience/training in the sector of police area/law enforcement agencies.
Qualifications
• At least five years’ University education in a related field.
