Overview

The IAEA technical cooperation (TC) programme is the main mechanism through which the IAEA delivers services to its Member States. TC experts provide specialized on-the-job training, assist project counterparts in developing technical analyses and offer recommendations towards achieving TC project objectives. TC experts may also participate in training courses as lecturers that transfer technical knowledge and skills to training course participants.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized on-the-job training.
  • Assist project counterparts in developing technical analyses.
  • Offer recommendations towards achieving TC project objectives.
  • Participate in training courses as lecturers, providing lectures, exercises etc.
Required Experience

Expertise in at least one of the following areas: Energy, Industrial applications/radiation technology, Safety and security, Health and nutrition, Food and agriculture, Water and the environment, Nuclear knowledge development and management.

Qualifications

University degree.

Other Details
Languages Required
Fluent in at least one of the IAEA’s working languages (English, French and Spanish).
Languages Preferred
Working knowledge of the other UN official languages (Arabic, Chinese, and/or Russian) is an asset.

Remuneration
Remuneration for expert assignments depends on the assignment and the expert’s qualifications and ranges between €300 and €480 per day.
