Overview

Seeking an experienced expert to work as a Resident Advisor on Banking Sector Regulation and Supervision at the Commission de Supervision Bancaire et Financière (CSBF) in Madagascar. The role supports the CSFB in implementing the Basel I framework, risk-based supervision, improving data quality, and enhancing the corrective action framework.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare a banking sector regulation and supervision workplan.
  • Manage and deliver the workplan, ensuring proportionality to the local financial system.
  • Organize and deliver training, workshops, and seminars on financial sector supervision.
  • Coordinate activities with other relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare results frameworks (logframes) for TA delivery.
  • Discuss and agree on outcomes and milestones with authorities.
  • Use the CDMAP system to track and update TA results.
Required Experience
  • At least seven (7) years of relevant experience in banking supervision and regulation, acquired primarily in a central bank or an official financial supervisory agency.
  • In-depth understanding of international standards for banking.
  • Proven track record of adapting and implementing international standards within national supervisory frameworks.
Qualifications

• A degree in economics, finance, accounting, or a related area.
