Overview

International consultant to conduct an assessment of the quality of neonatal and obstetric care in Abkhazia, Georgia, focusing on improving peri- and neonatal care services.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise on maternity and immediate newborn care, including patient rights, human resource motivation, tool adaptation, facility assessments, report preparation, and protocol development.
  • Lead maternity and immediate newborn care assessments across all sites, producing completed facility assessment tools and facility gap summaries.
  • Draft maternity and newborn sections of the assessment report and recommendations.
  • Draft maternity-related elements of five clinical protocols.
  • Co-facilitate workshops and update protocols.
  • Provide final technical inputs and presentation slides.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 10 years clinical experience
  • Experience with WHO quality assessment tool
  • Experience in developing clinical protocols
  • Training experience
  • Experience with UNICEF and WHO
  • Experience in fragile contexts (advantage)
Qualifications

• Professional degree, Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery
