Overview
The Communications Associate will support the UNV programme Field Unit in Vientiane by creating content, managing digital media, and assisting with advocacy and outreach activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft "Impact Stories" by interviewing UN Volunteers and writing articles or blog posts.
- Capture photos and short videos of volunteers for social media and UNV platforms.
- Document "best practices" to demonstrate volunteering's contribution to SDGs.
- Manage the Field Unit’s Facebook page by creating posts and responding to inquiries.
- Update the Facebook page with news, vacancies, and event highlights.
- Support the creation of info-sheets or promotional materials.
- Coordinate communications tasks for outreach events.
- Represent the Field Unit in the UN Communications Group.
- Coordinate with other UN partners on joint events.
Required Experience
• 1 month experience.
Qualifications
• Secondary education.
