Overview
The Education Associate is responsible for the coordination of the education program in the Ouaddaï province and supports the implementation of the education program in other eastern provinces. The role aims to ensure refugees have access to the Chadian education system.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the education program in Ouaddaï province and support implementation in other eastern provinces.
- Monitor activities such as school kit distribution, tuition fee support, classroom construction, identification and follow-up of students with disabilities, enrollment tracking, staff attendance monitoring, needs assessment, and support for exams and scientific workshops.
- Oversee the setup of digital learning centers and school orientation training.
- Assist in disseminating scholarship offers and selecting candidates.
- Implement financial education training and awareness campaigns on the importance of education.
- Draft field mission reports, review partnership agreements, and contribute to information dossiers.
- Coordinate the production of semi-annual EMIS reports and facilitate donor missions.
Required Experience
- 3 years of relevant professional experience with a bachelor's degree.
- Demonstrated work experience in education programs.
- Field experience in education program implementation and coordination in humanitarian and/or development contexts.
- Experience working with Governments, Ministry of Education, and other line Ministries.
- Experience in refugee education programs (desirable).
- Experience with UNHCR policies and standards (desirable).
- Experience in child protection (desirable).
- Experience in educational research, teaching, or education administration (desirable).
Qualifications
- Diplôme universitaire de licence en éducation, travail social, développement international.
- Certifications in Education, Social Sciences, or Business Administration.
