Overview

The Economics Department is seeking an experienced and creative Project Lead, Data Scientist to provide expert guidance on data science solutions and lead data-science projects from inception to delivery.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance on data science solutions.
  • Integrate cutting-edge data science tools and methodologies into projects.
  • Respond to data science requests and inquiries.
  • Deliver training sessions and build internal capacity on data science.
  • Represent the Economics Department in meetings and working groups.
  • Draft briefing notes and deliver presentations.
  • Act as a liaison with other departments and external organisations.
  • Lead data-science projects from inception to delivery.
  • Draft project blueprints, develop proofs of concept and progress reports.
  • Coordinate human resources (e.g. managing consultants, overseeing training).
  • Provide technical scoping (e.g. server infrastructure, programming languages).
  • Manage budget planning and oversight (e.g. licensing, consultancy costs).
  • Manage timelines and milestones, ensuring on-time delivery.
Required Experience
  • Proven experience in managing complex data science projects, including supervision of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience working with economic data and concepts is a strong advantage.
Qualifications

Advanced university degree (Master or PhD) in Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.

Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and knowledge of the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level.

Contract Duration
24 months fixed-term appointment, with the possibility of renewal to a maximum of 36 months.
Work Modality
hybrid mode Teleworking available, subject to manager approval.
Remuneration
Monthly salary starts at 8 098.38 EUR, plus allowances based on eligibility, exempt of French income tax.
