Overview
To determine the feasibility, readiness, and design of a Regional MICS initiative for the Caribbean Region, supporting CARICOM and UNICEF in advancing the proposal through regional meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a tool for country-specific statistical readiness and feasibility assessment.
- Develop detailed design options for a regional or sub-regional MICS model.
- Prepare high-quality technical materials for CARICOM meetings.
- Coordinate engagement with National Statistical Offices and CARICOM’s Regional Statistics Programme.
- Prepare groundwork for a Caribbean MICS Survey Design Workshop.
- Ensure alignment with MICS Programme standards, methodologies, and tools.
Required Experience
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Survey Design, Survey Implementation.
- Strong expertise in Census, Household Surveys (MICS/DHS preferred).
- Experience working with NSOs and SDG monitoring.
- Experience working in the Caribbean is an asset.
Qualifications
• An advanced university degree (Master’s) in Statistics, Demography, Economics, Social Sciences, Survey Methodology, or related field.
