Overview

This internship offers an opportunity to contribute to NATO’s Cyber Defence and Digital Transformation efforts, supporting strategic decisions in digital and technological domains.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop research and analytical skills by contributing to high-level meetings, drafting strategic documents, and shaping policy.
  • Work with NATO’s civil and military experts, engage with international delegations, and connect with industry leaders and academic professionals.
  • Support the development and maintenance of technical interoperability standards.
  • Contribute to semantic resources, data models, and ontologies.
  • Support analysis related to artificial intelligence and machine learning interoperability considerations.
  • Explore interoperability implications of cloud computing and emerging communication technologies.
  • Assist in enterprise architecture modelling and documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of briefings, analytical reports, and technical documentation.
  • Support coordination with stakeholders across NATO bodies and agencies.
  • Ensure coordination between Ukraine and NATO Stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress of Ukraine C3/CIS projects.
  • Draft Project Proposals in support of Ukraine Requirements.
  • Support the revision of military cyber defence policies and strategies.
  • Assist in the preparation of briefings, reports and military advice for political consideration.
Required Experience

• Previous experience with other international organizations, national administration, research or industry.

Qualifications
  • At least two years of university level studies OR equivalent education OR be currently a student OR a recent graduate (degree obtained no longer than 12 months ago).
  • A Bachelor's degree or in the final stage of a Master’s degree relevant to the requested area of expertise.
Other Details
Languages Required
• Proficiency in one of the two official NATO languages (English/French).
Languages Preferred
• Elementary knowledge of the second official NATO language (English/French).
Contract Duration
6-month traineeship
Work Modality
Teleworking subject to business requirements.
Remuneration
• 1,334.96 Euro (EUR) Monthly grant and a travel reimbursement upon joining and leaving the organisation.
