Overview

The role involves implementing the ICCWC Visibility Strategy 2024-2026 by coordinating with partners to enhance ICCWC's visibility and communicate its objectives.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop targeted campaigns for ICCWC activities and key events.
  • Maintain ICCWC social media channels and website, preparing messaging and audio-visual content.
  • Support relevant ICCWC projects, including knowledge product development.
  • Update and maintain the ICCWC Activity Report platform and draft the ICCWC Annual Report for 2025.
  • Review, update, and design ICCWC knowledge products in different language versions.
  • Update and maintain the ICCWC SEG Visibility folder.
  • Provide input to relevant ICCWC project reports.
  • Implement other activities of the ICCWC Visibility Strategy, including revising branding and messaging guidelines.
  • Coordinate activities with ICCWC partners’ Public Information Officers and the CITES Communications Officer.
  • Design and format the ICCWC Strategic Action Plan 2027-2030 and prepare a promotional plan.
  • Develop communications reports and complete other assigned tasks.
Required Experience
  • Two (2) years experience in media and communication, public relations, communications and social media management, creative copy writing, design and content development.
  • Experience in the production (development, design and publication) of annual reports, social media content and other communications materials for international organizations and/or government agencies and/or the public sector.
  • Previous experience working on matters related to CITES and wildlife crime or other similar organizations.
  • Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment, to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel, and to work inclusively and collaboratively with different partners.
  • Solid computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications and in software used for producing basic media/audio-visual content.
Qualifications
  • An advanced university degree in media, communications, or social sciences (Master’s degree or equivalent).
  • A first-level university degree, combined with an additional 2 years of qualifying experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
