Overview
Provides secretarial, administrative, and logistics support to a project focused on urban development and Sustainable Development Goals. Assists in research, information compilation, and preparation of materials for meetings and events.
Key Responsibilities
- Responds to routine correspondence and drafts responses.
- Monitors project processes and schedules, verifying document accuracy and compliance.
- Researches, compiles, and organizes information for reports, work plans, and meetings.
- Assists in drafting concept notes, summaries, and proceedings of expert group meetings.
- Generates statistical and other reports using databases.
- Proofreads and edits documents for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and style.
- Provides secretarial, administrative, and logistics support for project meetings, events, and conferences.
- Assists in website maintenance by posting documents.
- Prepares presentation materials.
- Performs data entry and extraction.
- Reviews, records, distributes, and processes mail and documents.
- Follows up on impending actions.
- Performs general administrative tasks, including preparing administrative requests and documents.
- Maintains project files and databases.
- Provides guidance to less experienced staff on office processes and computer applications.
- Assists with data collection, analysis, and preparation of data presentations and reports.
- Assists with visualizations and updating information material.
Required Experience
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in general office support or related area is required.
- The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced by two years for candidates who possess a first-level university degree.
- Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP) such as SAP is required.
- Experience working within the United Nations Common system or similar international organization is desirable.
- Experience with Microsoft Office packages is desirable.
- A minimum of one (1) year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.
Qualifications
- Completion of high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Supplementary training in administration, project management or another relevant field is desirable.
