Overview

The CoFSA Convening and Community Intern will support the development and implementation of operational activities for the Conscious Food Systems Alliance, including logistical support for an international summit.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support logistical and operational planning for the Summit, including coordination timelines, workplans, and internal follow-up.
  • Assist in organizing and documenting coordination calls, webinars, and virtual or hybrid meetings.
  • Maintain shared knowledge management and collaboration tools.
  • Support the preparation of presentations, briefing notes, meeting minutes, and background documents.
  • Assist with stakeholder and CoFSA community mapping, including partners, donors, grassroots networks, and members.
  • Provide support to the CoFSA community, including member coordination, onboarding support, database maintenance, and assistance to community working groups.
  • Conduct background research on potential donors, fundraising opportunities, and key Summit-related topics.
  • Support the internship recruitment for CoFSA team through preparation of writing tests, interviews arrangements, and other administrative tasks.
  • Carry out other related Summit and CoFSA support tasks as required.
  • Support with candidate applications and CVs downloads for COFSA internships hiring process.
Required Experience
  • Experience in data collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation;
  • Experience in communications, writing and editing;
  • Experience in sustainability.
Qualifications
  • Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent) such as journalism, communications, environment, agriculture, sustainable development, economics, international development, social/political sciences or related fields;
  • Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher) such as journalism, communications, environment, agriculture, sustainable development, economics, international development, social/political sciences or related fields;
  • Have graduated with a university degree (as defined above) and, if selected, must start the internship within one-year of graduation.

Remuneration
UNDP will not pay for the internship but may provide a stipend in monthly in accordance with the provisions of the UNDP Internship policy;
