Overview
The Implementing Partner Support Associate is responsible for conducting expenditure verifications provided by Implementing Partners and providing support for IOM auditing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure provisions from Special Conditions are applied by IPs.
- Provide support for external and internal IOM auditing.
- Assist with the preparation, printing and filing of financial IP audit reports.
- Follow up on changes in the Financial and Administrative Framework Agreement (FAFA) provision.
- Review Financial Reports by counterchecking data with certified copies and supporting documents.
- Conduct verification of personnel, office, and operational costs.
- Ensure procurement procedures are followed by IPs.
- Verify physical assets purchased by the IP.
- Maintain communication with IPs.
- Support and monitor procedures to verify IP performance and financial reports.
- Assist in providing information and drafting audit responses for EU Institutions.
- Administer and monitor agreements and cost plans.
- Monitor budget utilization and provide information to management.
- Provide support and guidance to managers on budget implementation.
- Facilitate knowledge building, sharing, and capacity building of IPs.
- Follow IP timelines for activity implementation and prepare milestones for funding disbursements.
- Assist with the preparation of invoices, payment requests, and goods receipts for IP payments.
Required Experience
- At least three years of relevant professional experience (with a university degree).
- Five years of relevant professional experience (with a high school graduate).
- Previous experience in a similar function a distinct advantage.
- Experience in working in a multi-cultural environment preferred.
Qualifications
- University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited academic institution; OR
- High school graduate.
