Overview

The National Private Sector Partnerships Officer will support the development, coordination, and implementation of private and public-private partnerships for IOM Tokyo.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support mapping and identification of private sector partners.
  • Conduct due diligence assessments of potential partners.
  • Support the development of options for private sector collaboration.
  • Contribute to outreach efforts to private sector partners.
  • Collaborate with program teams to design partnership schemes.
  • Support the drafting and negotiation of partnership frameworks and agreements.
  • Enhance stewardship of relevant partners.
  • Support coordination between private sector partners and IOM's internal teams.
  • Compile and draft reports to partners.
  • Build, document and share best practices.
  • Enhance visibility for private partners.
  • Prepare presentations and briefing documents.
  • Contribute to communicating key advocacy messages.
  • Support the development of content for the online individual giving platform.
  • Contribute to joint activities with the Communications Team.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the Private Sector Strategy.
  • Support private sector engagement efforts in the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Experience
  • Professional experience in private sector partnership development and resource mobilization in the context of international cooperation (e.g., NGOs, international organizations, government agencies), or in CSR/sustainability-related roles in the private sector.
  • Excellent understanding of private sector priorities and experience in developing partnerships and fundraising with the private sector.
  • Experience in contributing to value proposition development and co-designing solutions in collaboration with private sector partners (companies, foundations, business associations, etc.).
  • Work experience related to public information and communication is an advantage.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Business Management, International Relations, Marketing or related degree from an accredited academic institution; or,
  • University degree in the above fields with two years of relevant professional experience.
