Overview

Staff Officer responsible for Information and Communication Technology (ICT), specifically Communication and Information Systems (CIS) and Cyber programmes within the Investment Section. The role involves advising, coordinating, and supporting CIS and Cyber related programmes under common funded capability delivery procedures.


Key Responsibilities
  • Act as Lead-Officer for IMS cross-divisional work in the CFCDGM, drafting joint IMS/IS staff advice.
  • Advise, consult, staff, and brief CIS and Cyber related programmes under CFCDGM procedures.
  • Support drafting policies and procedures related to common funded capability delivery.
  • Perform secretarial work for the MCWG (RES), including preparing meetings and updating the work plan.
  • Draft MC documents for the MC decision making process and Urgent Requirements.
  • Represent the IMS at NATO Committee meetings dealing with investment matters.
  • Maintain liaison with relevant NATO entities and agencies.
Required Experience
  • At least 3 years’ experience at staff level in a military or governmental organization or major private multinational companies as a programme or project manager, in planning/delivering/leading/advising ICT systems, programmes and projects.
  • Knowledge and experience with military CIS systems and C3 capabilities and ICT Services.
  • Advanced working user experience with MS Office Suite.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (ISCED level 6, categories 64 and 65) in information technology or cybersecurity, or higher secondary education with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • At least one widely recognised programme/project management qualification (e.g., MSP, PRINCE2, PMP).

Languages Required
• Advanced level of spoken and written English.
Languages Preferred
• An elementary level of French.
Contract Duration
• Three-year definite duration contract, which may be renewed for a further period of up to three years for seconded staff, with a maximum time of service of six years. Serving NATO international civilian personnel will be offered a contract in accordance with NATO Civilian Personnel Regulations.
Work Modality
• On-site (NATO HQ, Brussels)
Remuneration
• 6,713.06 Euro (EUR) Monthly
