Overview
The Associate Risk Management Officer will help implement the operational risk management framework for departments managing Third Party, Resilience, and Technology Change Management risks. The role contributes to strengthening ADB's organizational resilience and enhancing risk management for both external and internal change.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure stakeholders understand and comply with ADB's operational risk management framework.
- Implement the Operational Risk Framework across specified departments.
- Identify risks, agree and test controls, and monitor mitigation actions.
- Report material events/incidents in the operational loss database.
- Prepare documents relating to risk management for governance meetings.
- Collaborate with relevant organizations to share industry best practices.
- Review communications and provide comments on identified risks.
- Coordinate with departments to embed operational risk into ADB's culture.
- Stay informed of departmental changes and collaborate on change risk assessments.
- Review amended and revised policies and practices, providing feedback.
- Develop Risk Appetite statements, metrics, and key performance/risk indicators.
Required Experience
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in risk management.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of industry best-practice operational risk management tools and techniques.
- Understanding of change risk management, including system and business change / projects, across a development banks portfolio.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, banking, economics, accounting, or related fields; preferably with advanced training.
