Overview
Support the implementation of the Finance component of the Partnership Platform for Localizing the SDGs in Tunisia, focusing on SDG-aligned financing to catalyze territorial investments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing local finance of four pilot municipalities, including financial capacities, revenue streams, and fiscal framework architecture.
- Capitalizing on recent studies on local and national finance, developing strategic recommendations.
- Supporting the preparation and facilitation of workshops for cities and national stakeholders.
- Mapping and assessing existing national-to-local financing mechanisms.
- Supporting institutional dialogues and technical workshops for harmonization and strengthening of national financing instruments.
- Co-providing technical recommendations to optimize performance, transparency, allocation logic, and alignment of financing mechanisms with SDG localization.
- Supporting technical capacity building workshops for partnering cities on project design and implementation.
- Operationalizing the scaling up of SDG Cities approach for national resources.
- Supporting the high-level assessment of existing project pipelines.
- Co-providing technical assistance to design funding strategies for cities and connect them with financing sources.
Required Experience
- 5 years of experience in the field of Finance, local finance, local affairs and development project management.
- Experience with UN System is recommended.
- Familiarity working with Government of Tunisia institutions in the field of Finance, and Local Affairs is required.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in finance, Economy or related field
