Overview

To provide technical and operational support that enhances national multi-hazard preparedness, response coordination, and end-to-end supply chain performance, and to contribute to the design and implementation of approaches to improve disaster risk management processes and procedures.


Key Responsibilities
  • - Lead the design and delivery of project activities in support of Disaster Risk Management capacity strengthening interventions.
  • - Engage government counterparts to jointly define and develop operational guidance, tools, and knowledge products.
  • - Drive development of national and subnational multi-hazard preparedness mechanisms.
  • - Lead the development of national supply chain readiness plans.
  • - Conduct logistics capacity assessments and propose risk mitigation and business continuity measures.
  • - Maintain readiness dashboards, tracking systems, and contribute to supply chain planning and performance reviews.
  • - Support partnerships with national counterparts, UN agencies, NGOs, academia and the private sector.
  • - Provide flexible support to cross-functional tasks and surge deployments.
Required Experience

At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in emergency preparedness, logistics/supply chain, humanitarian response, and/or disaster management. Demonstrated experience in supply chain planning, vendor/market engagement, warehousing/transport operations, and/or food assistance delivery systems is desirable. Experience supporting government-led or inter‑agency emergency coordination and response is an asset. Experience in capacity strengthening, development of operational tools, and facilitation of trainings/simulations is desirable.

Qualifications

Advanced university degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Disaster Risk Management, Humanitarian Affairs, Public Policy/Administration, or related field; or a first university degree with additional years of relevant professional experience.
