Overview

Serve as part of a multinational team conducting scheduled maintenance inspections and functional checks on aircraft, related equipment, and components. Provide guidance on maintenance, servicing, and inspection issues, and support decisions on the allocation of organizational resources.


Key Responsibilities
  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, servicing, inspection, testing, modification, evaluation, repair, replacement and adjustment of a/c components and related support equipment;
  • Preparing the a/c for deployments and conducting pre-, thru- and post flight inspections and functional checks;
  • Performing a/c launch, recovery and ground handling duties to include towing and parking;
  • Performing or supporting apron/flight line snow/ice removal as well as A/C de-/anti-icing activities;
  • Servicing liquid and gaseous consumables, including fuel, hydraulic fluid, oil, liquid oxygen (LOX), water, and wastewater;
  • Conducting or assisting in troubleshooting and unscheduled maintenance on a/c systems;
  • Inspection and maintenance of a/c life-support equipment;
  • Performing ground handling, general cleaning, servicing of aircraft latrines, lubricating and de-icing functions;
  • Performing aircraft corrosion preventive measures (including aircraft clear water rinse and wash) in accordance with applicable maintenance regulations;
  • Providing technical information on assigned equipment and recommends methods to improve equipment performance and maintenance procedures;
  • Contributing to efforts related to E-3A Component / Squadron ground safety directives, procedures and regulations;
  • Performing Phase inspections, functional checks and corrosion control inspections on E-3A;
  • Performing of acceptance and transfer inspections under guidance of Quality Control;
  • Checking quality of inspection and corrosion prevention work within the Section;
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable directives and technical documentation concerning work safety, safe aircraft maintenance operations, and vehicle usage;
  • Assisting the section head in managing the section;
  • Performing Disabled Aircraft Recovery (DAR) duties;
  • Providing inputs on training analysis, required level of learning and method of delivery related aspects;
  • Producing training materials, including lesson plans, presentations and tests;
  • Teaching, training and recommending qualification;
  • Developing, designing and maintaining course curriculum, syllabus, instruction plans and materiel, student handouts, tests and forms;
  • Developing and coordinating training schedules and requirements;
  • Conduct and evaluation of initial/refresher training;
  • Conducting theoretical instruction and practical training, evaluating student performance and certifying task qualification;
  • Evaluating the skills of all Squadron assigned personnel; maintaining training records and monitoring the status of recurring and special certification training;
  • Maintaining and augmenting the centralized training management database and the utilization of training resources;
  • Assessing/identifying new or changing training requirements as a result of a/c and support equipment modernization;
  • Contributing to the management, control and implementation of ground safety directives, procedures and regulations.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Aircraft Maintenance;
  • Must have skills and experience in developing, designing, and maintaining course curriculum to include syllabus, instruction plans, materiel, student handouts, tests, and forms;
  • Must have skills and experience in developing and coordinating training schedules and requirements to include planning, coordination, conducing and evaluation of initial/refresher training of assigned personnel;
  • Ability to conduct theoretical instruction, practical training, evaluating student performance and certifying task qualification;
  • Experience in centralized training management database and the utilization of training resources;
  • Ability to assess and identify new or changing training requirements as a result of a/c and support equipment modernization;
  • Previous instructor qualification required.
  • Previous experience working in an international military environment (advantage);
  • Previous experience in a NATO or other military or government organizations working in aircraft maintenance or aircraft logistics support (advantage);
  • Familiarity with technical/industrial Quality Assurance programs (advantage).
Qualifications
  • Higher Secondary education and completed intermediate vocational training in aircraft maintenance, or Secondary education and completed appropriate advanced vocational training with sufficient function related experience;
  • Driving license equivalent to European Class C.
