The consultant will lead technical support for Comprehensive Risk Management and DRR-Climate Action integrated planning interventions. The role aims to strengthen national capacity in understanding and applying an integrated approach to disaster risk reduction and climate action.
A minimum of 7 years of working experience in the field of disaster risk management, climate change adaptation and climate finance, or related fields is required. Experience in engaging with and coordinating stakeholders in a political setting is desirable. Experience in policy processes around DRR/civil protection and climate change adaptation in the Western Balkans and the European Union/Eastern Neighbourhood is desirable.
An advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in sustainable development, climate and climate finance studies, disaster risk management, environmental studies, or relevant areas is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
