Overview

Provides clerical and administrative support in the development and administration of the Division’s work on innovative finance and/or technical cooperation programmes and projects.


Key Responsibilities
  • Screen incoming mail and draft replies on non-technical aspects.
  • Keep track of pending matters and follow up with other offices on deadlines.
  • Respond to information requests and refer queries to appropriate personnel.
  • Draft routine correspondence and proofread documents.
  • Provide procedural support regarding financial procedures and rules.
  • Retrieve information from SAP modules.
  • Initiate and follow up on actions related to recruitment, payments, and travel.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as arrangements for meetings and reservations.
  • Prepare requisitions, purchase orders, and travel requests.
  • Maintain filing systems and databases.
  • Support the creation of information management systems and dashboards.
  • Support the creation of PowerPoint presentations.
Required Experience
  • Completed secondary education: at least 3 years of relevant experience.
  • First/second-level university degree: at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in office procedures and practices, preferably within the UN system or in a multicultural environment, is desirable.
  • Experience in providing support to managerial/professional staff and using administrative skills, is desirable.
  • Experience/proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and internet, is required.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP software is desirable.
  • Knowledge of using artificial intelligence tools is desirable.
Qualifications
  • Completed higher secondary education, high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Formal secretarial/clerical training or equivalent is desirable.

Languages Required
• Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
Languages Preferred
• Fluency and/or working knowledge of another official UN language, particularly French, Spanish or Russian is desirable.
