Overview
The Water and Habitat (WatHab) Project Officer plans, designs, and implements engineering projects, monitors on-site works, and carries out needs assessments and surveys. The role involves working closely with external stakeholders related to WatHab projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop project documents such as drawings, bills of quantities, and contracts.
- Monitor on-site work, supervise contractors, and ensure quality control.
- Gather and analyze technical information for project planning.
- Participate in assessments, design, and documentation for construction and rehabilitation projects.
- Collaborate with the Logistics Unit to create tender documents and specifications.
- Guide contractors on-site and train end-users.
- Create and update electronic project files and provide implementation reports.
Required Experience
Preferably 3–5 years of professional experience in a field related to Water and Habitat (WatHab) activities.
Qualifications
University degree in a relevant field (e.g., Energy, Environmental, Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering, or a related discipline).
