Overview
International Consultant for Data Processing to provide technical execution for CAPI data management, final data cleaning, file processing, and statistical preparation for the 2026 Cambodia Demographic and Health Survey.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth remote operation of CAPI data collection, providing technical support for CAPI software and tablet maintenance.
- Maintain, update, and generate real-time field check tables/dashboards.
- Provide regular, secure data transfers and monitoring reports.
- Lead comprehensive data cleaning, resolving inconsistencies, and managing final merging and tabulation.
- Prepare final data files for analysis, including creation of indices, weights, and recode variables.
- Provide statistical programming and tabulation support for report writing.
- Execute final data anonymization and structuring for archiving.
- Conduct remote training for NIS data processing staff.
- Document all data processing procedures, CAPI syntax, quality control steps, and final data file structure.
Required Experience
- Over 10 years of experience managing and providing technical support for large-scale household surveys, with deep expertise in Demographic and Health Survey protocols and international standards.
- Demonstrated expertise in CAPI (Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing).
- Strong capabilities in statistical analysis and data processing using industry-standard software.
- Extensive experience in survey quality assurance and rigorous field monitoring.
- Proven ability to handle the end-to-end survey process.
- Familiarity with Cambodia’s specific DHS context and operational landscape is an asset.
- Experience working with UN agencies or international organizations is preferred.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (Masters or higher) in demography, statistics, public health, or related field.
- Advanced degree and/or skills in survey ICT.
