Overview
The Monitoring and Evaluation Associate will support MEAL activities, including drafting plans, collecting and verifying data, and presenting findings.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting MEAL plans, data collection tools, and templates.
- Collect case studies, document best practices, and record lessons learned.
- Verify and validate collected data for accuracy.
- Conduct site visits, face-to-face meetings, and facilitate focus group discussions.
- Assist in presenting key findings to IOM staff, donors, and stakeholders.
- Provide relevant MEAL information to project/programme teams for reports.
- Maintain PRIMA MEAL-related modules with up-to-date information.
- Serve as the primary focal point for the mission’s Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP).
- Ensure confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive information.
- Assist in maintaining the mission’s database and ensure data integrity.
- Support the preparation of internal and external reports.
- Participate in MEAL-related training and cascade knowledge.
Required Experience
- High school degree with four five years of relevant professional experience; or
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least three years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in data collection, needs assessments, and report writing.
- Experience in preparing technical requirements documents and converting specifications into technical briefs.
- Experience in working in humanitarian/development context.
Qualifications
• High school degree or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited academic institution (preferably in International Relations, Political Science, Statistics or related field).
