Overview
The Fleet Management Assistant will be responsible for managing the drivers and fleet of IOM Country Office, Juba, under the supervision of the Fleet Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in coordinating day-to-day dispatch activities for intercity and within city missions.
- Support efficient coordination with dispatch team for smooth operations.
- Plan and assign drivers/cars for missions.
- Coordinate with OSS to acquire road status for intercity missions.
- Plan and deploy drivers for weekends, holidays, and night shifts.
- Maintain records of extra hours served by drivers.
- Keep records of driving licenses and necessary permissions for dispatch and international staff with authority to drive.
- Randomly check logbooks and track mileage versus fuel consumption.
- Notify fleet manager of any observations.
- Generate leave plans for the dispatch team.
- Verify vehicle working condition and generate maintenance requisitions.
- Coordinate and act as backup for the Airport team focal person.
- Generate incident reports for vehicles involved in traffic accidents or damage.
- Coordinate with insurance focal person and OSS in case of accidents.
- Ensure vehicles are repaired through insurance.
- Generate daily reports of vehicle status.
- Provide inputs for driver evaluations.
- Fulfill any other responsibilities as directed by the fleet manager.
Required Experience
- Minimum three years’ experience of logistics and fleet management.
- Experience of working as a driver, part of which is supporting activities as below:
- Working as a driver full time
- Knowledge of planning fleet movements
- Knowledge of airport related activities
- Coordination with Workshop.
Qualifications
- Certification for Supply Chain Management.
- High School Degree.
