Overview
The Head of Resources Management is responsible for managing, monitoring, and administering financial, budgetary, treasury, human resources, supply chain, and ICT activities for the Country Office and its Sub-Offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the management of the treasury by forecasting cash flows.
- Monitor and control funds disbursed and validate funding.
- Analyze financial projects and oversee budget control.
- Prepare the annual budget for the Country Office.
- Manage and strengthen internal controls.
- Examine and review payroll versus budgets.
- Review and finalize project and donor financial reports.
- Monitor and manage financial management for all activities.
- Review existing systems and procedures for improvements.
- Supervise and manage the Human Resources function.
- Supervise and manage Supply Chain services.
- Represent the Organization at UN meetings.
- Serve as Officer-in-Charge (OiC) of the Country Office in the absence of the CoM.
Required Experience
- Seven years of relevant professional experience with a Master’s degree; or nine years of relevant professional experience with a University degree.
- Experience in all areas of financial administration including financial management, accounting and budgeting.
- Experience in human resources and Supply Chain.
- Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning system.
- Experience in emergency operations an advantage.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation and / or audit an advantage.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management or a related field from an accredited academic institution; or University degree in the above fields.
- Professional certification as Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is an advantage.
