Overview
The Roving Compliance Officer will support the IRC Kenya country program and its implementing partners to ensure adherence to applicable laws, policies, and regulations, fostering a culture of integrity and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
- Screen and assess incoming complaints.
- Draft investigation related documents and communications.
- Conduct interviews with complainants, subjects, and witnesses.
- Identify, collate, and analyze potential evidence.
- Prepare comprehensive investigation reports and present findings and recommendations.
- Support and follow up on the implementation of corrective action plans.
- Conduct system reviews to identify compliance gaps.
- Monitor the implementation of risk mitigation measures.
- Coordinate with relevant departments for audit requirements.
- Champion a culture of reporting on ethics and compliance concerns.
- Support partnership management from a compliance perspective.
- Review partner agreements and contracts.
- Design and facilitate training sessions on integrity, ethics, and compliance.
Required Experience
- Five years’ experience.
- Proven ability to analyze data to report critical information.
- Strong planning, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing.
- Excellent analytical, presentation, and reporting skills.
- Ability to respond to changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently on own initiative.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, self-motivation and sense of urgency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant social science e.g. Criminal Justice/Criminology, sociology, law, finance or a comparable field.
