Overview
The Global Safeguarding & Code of Conduct (Prevention) Specialist will contribute to the development, promotion, and roll-out of policy to foster a zero-tolerance culture towards fraud, corruption, and safeguarding issues. They will support the implementation of DRC’s prevention approach and assist with investigations of serious allegations.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively contribute to the operationalization of PSEAH and Prevention dimensions.
- Help design, refine, and implement the Management Action Tracking Tool.
- Maintain and support follow-up of post-case management action plans.
- Contribute to data analysis of trends/patterns from Reports of Suspected Misconduct.
- Contribute to Safeguarding & Code of Conduct compliance monitoring.
- Support the drafting of reports and safeguarding performance briefs.
- Provide trainings, refreshers, and onboardings on the Code of Conduct and PSEAH.
- Develop visuals and training materials, and maintain the CoC library.
- Support team communication and internal tools updating plans.
- Investigate allegations of SEAH, fraud, and corruption, focusing on Preliminary Assessments.
- Produce high-quality investigation reports, including donor reports.
- Substitute for Global Registrar's tasks (except Intake Committee chairpersonship).
- Support the team in updating case files.
- Lead or support other tasks as requested by line management.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience within humanitarian, development, safeguarding, ethics, compliance or related operational functions.
- Experience supporting operational prevention initiatives, including trainings, onboarding sessions, awareness activities, or development of practical guidance/tools.
- Proven experience supporting or conducting preliminary assessments, reviews, investigations, or case management processes related to misconduct allegations is considered an advantage.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in relevant area.
- Recognized Investigation Certificate preferred.
