Overview

The intern will support the Operational Safety (OPS) Section of the Air Navigation Bureau (ANB) in tasks related to the development, implementation, and monitoring of ICAO technical Annexes and other regulatory documents.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on assigned topics and present findings.
  • Assist in reviewing documents and identifying issues.
  • Support the preparation of draft background papers, studies, reports, and presentations.
  • Contribute to the review and update of ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) and guidance material.
  • Assist in supporting ICAO bodies.
  • Support the preparation of draft replies to correspondence.
  • Conduct research and analysis on existing applications and tools.
  • Support data analysis activities.
  • Assist in the development or improvement of data pipelines.
  • Contribute to AI-related tasks, including prompt engineering.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Completed or enrolled in a degree programme in a field of study related to the work of the Operational Safety (OPS) Section.
  • Relevant areas of study include, but are not limited to: Air Transport Management / Aviation Management (with human factors modules) / Human Factors Aviation, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering / Aerospace Systems / Science or Avionics / Systems Engineering Aircraft Maintenance Engineering / Airworthiness Flight Operations or Pilot Studies Aviation Safety or Safety Management Human Factors / Aviation Psychology Dangerous Goods / Safety Risk Management Instrument Flight Procedures / Air Navigation Services Data Science / Data Engineering Computer Science / Artificial Intelligence.
Other Details
Languages Required
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking abilities in English.
Languages Preferred
• A working knowledge of any other language of the Organization (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish).
Contract Duration
• Between 3 and 12 months.
