Overview
Provides support to donor and thematic teams in the Global Programmes Unit in the areas of project support and knowledge management.
Key Responsibilities
- Update and maintain trackers and filing systems.
- Draft reports, tables, briefs, talking points, and other reporting products.
- Respond to general information requests and inquiries on IOM programming.
- Provide support to the organization of visits by IOM staff.
- Assist in the review and submission of project proposals, reports, and other project deliverables.
- Provide ad hoc support to donor and thematic teams.
- Collect and compile information on current and prospective USG funding.
- Carry out general administrative support for the Global Programmes Unit.
- Undertake duty travel as needed.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
Required Experience
- Experience in programme support, administrative support, or databases management.
- Experience working with USG-funded programmes or familiarity with donor requirements is an advantage.
- Experience liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations.
- Prior experience with international organizations or multicultural environment is desirable.
Qualifications
- High school diploma with at least five years of relevant professional experience; or
- Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with at least three years of relevant professional experience
