Overview
The Solution Engineer will support organizational efforts to institutionalize Digital Transformation and Cloud Adoption by focusing on the implementation of target data and application architecture and assessing the impact of business process changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and recommend data standards, metadata strategy, and technological solutions at the application level.
- Provide expert knowledge, capture, and analyze requirements for future data and application architecture changes.
- Identify techniques and technologies to be applied.
- Participate in business and technology planning sessions, exhibitions, and seminars.
- Contribute expertise in data and application solutions to projects/programmes.
- Assist projects by producing specific documentation and contributing to source selection procedures.
- Develop conceptual and logical data models with business analysts and software developers.
- Ensure efficient information flow through business processes.
- Create data and application artifacts consistent with architecture principles, standards, methodologies, and ICT best practices.
- Determine appropriate data and application partitioning for performance and scalability.
- Coordinate with HQ security personnel on ICT solution security aspects.
- Review and document existing business processes with user representatives and staff.
- Design and document new processes to leverage available and emergent technologies.
- Perform any other related duty as assigned.
Required Experience
- At least 3 years of work experience as a solution engineer, ICT architect, or in other relevant roles with comparable responsibilities.
- Strong expertise in application integration and Data and Application solutions and implementation methodologies.
- Proven experience in at least one architecture modeling tool and/or one architecture modeling framework (e.g., UML, BPMN, TOGAF, ArchiMate).
- Experience with cloud computing architectures, and in particular with migrating traditional ICT services to the cloud in security-focused organisations (advantage).
Qualifications
• A university degree in electronic engineering, information management, or other related subject for this post.
