Overview
To support the Field Security Coordinator in ensuring effective security measures for Response Office programs, optimizing organizational security, and mitigating operational risks. Serves as Acting FSC in their absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Response Office security strategy.
- Ensure Security Risk Assessments, Context Risk Ratings, and Core Security Requirements are conducted and updated.
- Provide leadership and guidance to security focal persons.
- Collaborate on security risk assessments and ensure Core Security Requirements are implemented.
- Provide input and support during crisis situations and critical incidents.
- Conduct security investigations.
- Engage local leaders for safe-access arrangements.
- Represent World Vision at local NGO security network meetings.
- Strengthen and maintain networks for security information sharing.
- Receive, analyze, advise on, and disseminate safety and security information.
- Manage day-to-day security incidents.
- Coordinate the assessment, development, and implementation of the security capacity-building plan.
- Promote a strong culture of security awareness.
- Provide regular security reports to the FSC.
- Ensure all security incidents are reported.
- Conduct performance reviews for field-based security focal persons.
- Collect, analyze, and disseminate security information.
- Provide timely security updates, risk advisories, and mission-clearance support to Program/Operations Teams.
- Coordinate on incident reporting, staff induction, fleet safety, and asset protection with Support Departments.
- Maintain communication with Government Security Organs.
- Share security information and coordinate with Humanitarian Partners.
Required Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven experience in a recognized security field—public, private, government, or NGO sectors.
- Strong leadership, diplomatic, and motivational skills.
- Demonstrated capacity to build and sustain strategic relationships.
Qualifications
- BA in Police/Law Enforcement Training
- Passing the HEAT course is mandatory. Employment confirmation is contingent upon successful completion of the HEAT training within 90 days of employment or an approved SSR-equivalent course during the probation period.
