Overview

Responsible for overseeing NRC’s West Bank Area Office programme, ensuring strategic direction, quality assurance, and monitoring of integrated programmes. The role involves mentoring staff, ensuring project compliance, and contributing to new programme development.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide area specific input relevant to CC strategies and contribute to developing technical SOPs and tools.
  • Lead and support a coordinated and multi-sectorial response, technical quality in AO as well as project cycle management for the area office.
  • Ensure compliance with donor standards as well as adherence to NRC policies and procedures.
  • Grant management oversight ensuring high quality reporting internally and to donors.
  • Fundraising - identify and develop funding strategies, forecasts and project proposals.
  • Resource management - In line with project needs and funding availability, working in collaboration with relevant support departments.
  • Drive the implementation of learning and learning initiatives.
  • Line management and capacity building of programme staff, this includes for Core Competencies (CC) Project Managers, Coordinators and the Area MEAL Coordinator.
  • Represent NRC in sectorial coordination, clusters, and/or working group meetings when required.
Required Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience from a management position in a humanitarian/ recovery context, with significant previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts. Multi-sectorial programme development and implementation in at least one of NRC Palestine’s core competencies. Leadership and management experience with strong people development expertise. Sound knowledge of the Palestinian context. Experience implementing emergency/rapid response programming and access negotiation. Demonstrated experience in conducting needs assessment, project monitoring and evaluation, and programme development. Experience in community-based and participatory programme design and planning approaches. Knowledge of donor requirements and compliance rules. Strong proposal writing skills.

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant domain. Preferred master’s degree.
