Overview

The Software Development Engineer will join the Air Command and Control (AirC2) Business Area to support NATO's Digital Endeavour by developing and delivering Air C2 capabilities and services.


Key Responsibilities
  • Software design
  • Programming/software development
  • Development of automated pipelines, container and orchestration services, and agile software development in C/C++/C#, Java.
  • Administering and deploying CI/CD tools, build and automation tools, static code analysis tools, and automation and orchestration tools.
  • Administration and configuration of Windows and Unix operating system environments.
Required Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years post-related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
  • Exceptionally, at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post may compensate for the lack of a university degree.
  • Practical, recent experience in development of automated pipelines, container and orchestration services and agile software development in C/C++/C#, Java.
  • Practical recent experience administering and deploying: Development CI/CD tools (e.g. Git, Jira, GitLab, or Jenkins); Build and automation tools (e.g. Ant, Maven, Gradle, Nexus or Cmake); Static code analysis tools (e.g. SonarQube); Automation and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Ansible, Salt).
  • Significant administration and configuration experience with both Windows and Unix operating system environments.
Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline.
