Overview
The driver is responsible for ensuring safe transportation and effective vehicle maintenance, including providing support services in a timely manner, in compliance with IRC Thailand’s guiding principles, rules and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of IRC vehicles in compliance with IRC rules and regulations.
- Comply with Thai traffic rules, safety orders, travel schedules, and IRC policies.
- Ensure the efficient condition and readiness of vehicles for use, as well as their daily maintenance.
- Practice safe driving at all times for all IRC staff and visitors.
- Serve as a driver for IRC staff and visitors in a timely manner.
- Perform regular vehicle checks.
- Keep the vehicle clean and check its condition before and after each journey.
- Ensure all vehicle documentation, camp passes, etc., are in the vehicle before each journey.
- Complete vehicle log sheets after each journey.
- Manage the vehicle’s license renewal annually.
- Transport documents, materials, or other items to appropriate destinations as requested by the supervisor.
- Assist with minor repairs to vehicles and/or the IRC offices as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of driving experience, preferably with an INGO, NGO, or international organization.
- At least 2 years of experience in off-road driving.
- Experience supporting staff transportation and field missions.
Qualifications
• At least a certificate of secondary education (M.3) with an official driving license.
