Overview

The Supply Officer, FS6 position is responsible for managing and overseeing critical life support services essential to the Mission, including conference and catering services, Petrol Oils and Lubricants (POL) product and services, and general supply services.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develops, reviews, and manages contracts for life support services.
  • Plans and prepares cost estimates, budget implications, and long-term forecasts.
  • Monitors contract implementation and vendor performance.
  • Conducts market research and reviews best practices.
  • Initiates procurement processes and maintenance.
  • Leads technical assessments and field visits.
  • Develops asset redeployment and disposal plans.
  • Ensures accurate stock and inventory records and internal control systems.
  • Analyzes audit findings and prepares corrective action plans.
  • Prepares and validates reports from SAP ERP and other tools.
  • Tracks and monitors goods in transit.
  • Prepares and reviews supply-related cases for contract committees.
  • Guides and supervises Life Support Unit personnel.
  • Ensures integration of environmental sustainability and gender-sensitive approaches.
Required Experience

A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in supply services, administration, logistics, engineering, project management, or a related area is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to five (5) years for candidates who possess a first-level university degree. At least four (4) years of supervisory experience in areas of Fuel, Rations, and Inventory warehouse management is required. Experience in the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for inventory and supply chain management (such as SAP/Umoja and Power BI) is desirable. Experience in budget management, including budget performance levels, is desirable. Experience in managing support services in international peacekeeping or other international field operations is desirable.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required. A technical or vocational certificate in business administration, logistics, or another relevant field is required. Additional training in warehouse safety management, ERP-based inventory/warehouse management systems (such as Umoja), and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI) is desirable.
