Overview
This role directs the day-to-day implementation of the ERP's work plan, focusing on the architecture and integration of the Umoja solution. The incumbent co-manages integrated workstreams and teams responsible for development, technical integration, and delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- - Directs the evaluation and implementation of Umoja's Solution Architecture and technology roadmaps.
- - Oversees the analysis of business requirements and translation into technical solutions.
- - Advises senior business counterparts on implications of requirements and proposed changes.
- - Assures planning and implementation of techno-functional integration across workstreams and technology.
- - Oversees the Continuous Improvements program for Umoja solution functioning and enhancement.
- - Maintains consistency between baseline scope and commitments through a change control process.
- - Ensures implementation of upgrade paths and roadmaps are supported by feasibility and integration plans.
- - Oversees and directs the operation of SAP systems engineering and infrastructure.
- - Oversees the day-to-day administration of ERP SAP systems and landscape.
- - Oversees IT planning and release management processes for the Umoja solution.
- - Assures GA mandate for minimal customization and maximal alignment to ERP and SAP practices.
- - Oversees security compliance and harmonization of controls.
- - Develops and executes comprehensive upgrade plans for Umoja.
- - Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks.
- - Develops and executes a plan to implement new functionalities post-upgrade.
Required Experience
- A minimum of fifteen years of progressively responsible experience in the implementation of computer systems-based solutions for Finance processes and either Supply Change Management or Human Capital Management processes with Finance integration in a public sector global operation is required.
- Experience with end-to-end management of an ERP Solution Architecture, encompassing from integration and functional design to build and roll-out of functional solutions as well as the related software configuration, landscape plans, release management and subsequent deployment planning processes is required.
- Experience with IPSAS implementation is desirable.
- Experience within the UN system or analogous international organization is desirable.
Qualifications
- Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or related field is required.
- A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in combination with two additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
