Overview
Support the day-to-day coordination and implementation of Emergency project activities, contributing to timely delivery in line with IOM procedures and donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of Emergency project activities.
- Compile, verify, summarize and analyse project-related information and data.
- Monitor budget implementation and report variances.
- Act as focal point for administrative coordination of project implementation.
- Support project monitoring by tracking progress against targets and proposing corrective actions.
- Draft correspondence and contribute to the preparation of status reports, briefing notes, and other project documentation.
- Organize and support meetings, workshops and capacity-building activities.
- Respond to information requests and maintain organized filing systems.
- Participate in coordination meetings and maintain liaison with stakeholders.
- Support the monitoring of implementing partners’ activities.
- Provide inputs for the development of SOPs, concept notes and project proposals.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and support to field staff and project personnel.
- Undertake duty travel as required.
Required Experience
- Six years of relevant experience with a high school diploma; or, four years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in the emergency and humanitarian assistance domain.
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups.
- Experience supporting project implementation and monitoring.
- Experience working with specialized international agencies, including UN agencies, international organizations, and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution
