Overview
The European Commission is seeking a Finance and Contracts Agent to support the procurement team within the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CNECT). The role involves monitoring procurement procedures, ensuring data quality, and assisting with financial and contractual aspects.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring the implementation of procurement procedures and payments, and ensuring follow-up and respect of deadlines
- Ensuring quality and consistency of financial and contractual data in/between different databases
- Checking functional mailboxes and forwarding emails to responsible colleagues within the team
- Providing assistance to operational units and colleagues on procurement procedures, particularly for very low value procedures and specific contracts under simple framework contracts or in cascade
- Giving visa as financial initiating agent
- Preparing notes and financial correspondence using corporate templates
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of professional experience in administrative and/or financial tasks
- Professional experience with procurements being an advantage
Qualifications
- A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma, OR
- A level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education, and appropriate professional experience of at least three years
