Overview
Save the Children is seeking a Project Officer (MEAL & Advocacy) to support the implementation of the Kulimbikitsa Anthu Kupatsa Ana Tsogolo Lowala (KAKATL) project in Malawi. The role will provide technical leadership in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, learning, research, documentation, and advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the design and implementation of project monitoring systems and databases.
- Support evidence generation and learning.
- Ensure timely reporting in line with donor and organisational requirements.
- Strengthen advocacy initiatives, community accountability mechanisms, and knowledge management systems.
- Contribute to quality programme implementation, cross-learning, and evidence-based decision making.
Required Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) roles.
- Experience in developing and managing databases using MS Access, Excel and survey processing packages such as CSPro.
- Strong experience in developing M&E plans, results frameworks, research protocols, and conducting research and evaluations.
- Knowledge and experience in statistical analysis packages such as STATA and SPSS.
- Experience in documentation, knowledge management systems, and facilitating learning events.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and present complex information clearly and effectively.
- Strong understanding of gender and equity analyses.
- Proven experience in supervising, coaching, and mentoring staff.
- Ability and willingness to travel to field locations when required.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Demography, Social Sciences, or any other related field.
