Overview
The Finance Officer provides technical and operational finance support to DRC field offices and local partners, ensuring compliance with financial policies and donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support banking and petty cash transactions.
- Review payment documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain accurate cashbooks and upload to SharePoint.
- Ensure financial documents are scanned and uploaded into DRC’s ERP system.
- Prepare cash counts, cash reconciliations, and bank reconciliations.
- Maintain an archiving system for financial transactions.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Review costs booked against budgets.
- Process budget rebookings.
- Support the preparation of financial reports.
- Review partner financial reports and supporting documentation.
- Upload verified partner expenditures into DRC’s ERP.
- Conduct monitoring and follow-up visits to partners.
- Maintain and update partner financial trackers.
- Support donor and internal audits related to partner-managed funds.
- Ensure financial documentation is archived and uploaded to management information systems.
- Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
- Minimum of four years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
- At least two (2) years working with NGOs and local partners.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
