Overview

The consultant will analyze how economic growth in Kenya has translated into poverty reduction and child poverty outcomes at national and sub-national levels, and identify policy options for inclusive, child-centred growth.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead research activities including evidence review to identify analytical approaches.
  • Compile and analyze data.
  • Draft a working paper and brief.
Required Experience
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in applied econometrics.
  • Demonstrated experience doing similar empirical analysis on the relationship between economic growth and poverty.
  • Experience and familiarity with national and sub-national analysis.
  • Experience doing policy-oriented work.
  • Experience working in low- or middle-income countries.
Qualifications

• PhD in Economics, Public/Social Policy or related field.
