Overview
Coordinate activities on trainings and reporting related to rehabilitation and assistive technologies, and work with healthcare institutions to address rehabilitation needs in Ukraine.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Technical Officer on Disability and Rehabilitation in implementing WHO activities related to rehabilitation and assistive technologies programs.
- Assist in the organization of deployments of multidisciplinary teams for training and capacity building.
- Assist in the organization of training activities related to WHO support programmes.
- Support in the coordination of capacity building initiatives for clinical multidisciplinary training centres.
- Support in the coordination of capacity building initiatives for WHO programmes in multi-profile hospitals.
- Assist in the production of reporting on rehabilitation and assistive technologies.
- Collect information, analyse, prepare and contribute to reports and situation analyses.
- Collaborate with counterparts in the Organizations of People with Disabilities (OPDs) and other local organizations.
- Assist the Technical Officer on Disability and Rehabilitation in receiving, giving functional shelter, channelling, and supporting WHO presence, visits and missions.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Required Experience
- At least one (1) year of clinical experience as a rehabilitation professional in the rehabilitation sector.
- Relevant work experience in an international environment such as WHO / UN, governmental/public, intergovernmental organizations and/or non-governmental organizations.
- Experience in coordination and reporting on programmatic activities, related to capacity building or procurement or legal support in rehabilitation and assistive technologies.
- Experience working in humanitarian sector on project management.
- Previous work experience in emergency/humanitarian response.
Qualifications
- University degree (Bachelor's level/or equivalent) in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, public health, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, or social sciences.
- Master's degree or postgraduate training in any of the above fields.
