Overview
The Landscape Project Officer will support the Divisional Forest Officer in the implementation of a project focused on sustainable management and restoration of degraded landscapes for achieving Land Degradation Neutrality in India.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordination, and implementation of project activities.
- Assume full responsibility at the landscape level for project activity implementation.
- Ensure regular communication and coordination with stakeholders.
- Coordinate with relevant line departments and technical institutions.
- Develop landscape-specific annual work plans and ensure timely reporting.
- Facilitate and participate in review meetings and prepare minutes.
- Support in developing Terms of Reference for consultants and contracting processes.
- Identify capacity development needs and arrange trainings.
- Collate and provide inputs for progress reports and financial reports.
- Provide inputs for progress against workplan and project result framework.
- Prepare for financial audits and processes.
- Liaison with district and state departments for convergence with schemes.
- Collect, present, and share best practices and knowledge products.
- Support in developing new proposals for resource mobilization.
- Track and manage project expenditure at the landscape level.
- Manage and track contracts with project partners and flag risks.
- Assist in independent Mid-term and Terminal Evaluation of the project.
- Perform other project-related tasks assigned by supervisors.
Required Experience
- 3 years of relevant experience.
- 4 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Life Sciences (Botany & Zoology), Environmental Science and related field.
