Overview

The HRM Assistant will ensure the smooth and accurate running of appraisal, promotion, and reclassification exercises in Commission DGs.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the appraisal exercise, including verification of actors, launch, management of contributions, and ensuring finalisation of appraisal reports.
  • Manage promotion and reclassification exercises, including communication with HR correspondents, preparing promotion tables, and eligibility checks.
  • Provide assistance and HR support to client DGs, answering questions on applicable rules and processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data verification and encoding in Sysper.
  • Contribute to projects for harmonisation, simplification, and automation of HR processes.
Required Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in HR function and on performance management.

Qualifications
  • A level of post-secondary education attested by a diploma, OR
  • A level of secondary education attested by a diploma giving access to post-secondary education, and appropriate professional experience of at least three years.
Other Details
Languages Required
• A thorough knowledge (minimum level C1) of one of the 24 official languages of the EU • AND a satisfactory knowledge (minimum level B2) of a second official language of the EU, to the extent necessary for the performance of the duties.

Contract Duration
The duration of the 1st contract will be up to 4 years. The contract might then be extended only once for a maximum of 2 years.

Remuneration
The pay of staff members consists of a basic salary supplemented with specific allowances, including, where applicable, expatriation and family allowances. The European Commission applies a policy of equal opportunities and non-discrimination.
