Overview
The purpose of this job is to ensure the timely and quality implementation of Child Protection (CP) interventions within the respective settlements. The Technical program lead will lead the project team in Adjumani Refugee Settlement to respond to and prevent GBV, Child Protection, Access to Justice and legal assistance, cash assistance and shelter and NFI support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assume primary responsibility for project management and implementation and ensure compliance with the donor agreement and project proposal.
- Lead project planning and oversee program implementation and budget expenditures.
- Ensure adequate project monitoring and evaluation systems are in place.
- Assist in the program development and design process through assessments, assisting in proposal writing, and budget development.
- Develop and deliver the provision and quality of training on Access to Justice, GBV, and Child Protection.
- Compile and prepare quality periodic project progress reports, as well as final reports.
- Prepare quality weekly updates and monthly reports.
- Ensure proper program and donor visibility in the project sites.
- Lead data analysis and interpretation exercises with the project team.
- Provide ongoing supervision, mentoring, training, and technical support and guidance to the project team.
- Ensure Performance Management System documentation for all staff is in place.
- Build staff capacity in work plan development and reporting.
- Ensure project staff understand and follow IRC and donor Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure close collaboration with partners to enhance adequate referrals.
- Ensure regular communication with the Protection Coordinator and Field Manager and other internal departments.
Required Experience
- At least 7 -8 years’ experience in the field of Gender-based violence prevention and response, SRHR with Development and Humanitarian Nexus.
- Strong understanding of case management, psychosocial support and life skills programming to promote survivor healing and recovery.
- In-depth understanding of related international standards, and CP, GBV prevention and response strategies.
- Proven leadership, program management, staff development, planning, analytical, interpersonal, and Communications skills.
- Competency in writing progress and donor reports, and proposals; familiarity with principles and practice of monitoring and evaluation.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, proven self-initiative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Be able to work in a stressful setting and adapt quickly to changing environments.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in social work, Gender/Women Studies, Public Health, or other appropriate fields; or a BA in related field with equivalent experience
