Overview
The incumbent is responsible for the repair, preventive and reactive maintenance and inspection of electrical installations. They are also responsible for the inspection of executed works by external maintenance firms.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and carry out repair, installation, maintenance or modification work on NATO’s electrical systems and networks.
- Support on-demand requests or high-level events (e.g. Ministerials), even outside of standard office hours.
- Assist the Foreperson Electricity in the supervision of work carried out by external contractors.
- When required, replace the Foreperson Electricity in their absence.
- Assure electrical systems repairs.
- Conduct work as part of a team of First Line Intervention Technicians and Forepeople.
- Deal primarily with High Voltage electrical installations composed of the High Voltage network, Transformers, Distribution network, electrical board, powering rotating machines, wall power-outlets, lighting and PNWI.
- Conduct inspections and surveillance of electrical power systems.
- Draft basic incident reports.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Required Experience
At least 6 years’ experience in the maintenance of technical electrical installations on complex and large-scale sites such as office or industrial buildings.
Qualifications
- Certified to a secondary technical education level in electrical or electromechanical engineering OR possess an equivalent diploma/certification with a BA5 certification (electrical safety for qualified staff);
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
