Overview
The Programme Associate - Monitoring role is responsible for monitoring and supervising Third-Party Monitors (TPMs) in a specific coverage area and providing reports to support effective program implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the RAM officer in piloting and monitoring baseline, PDM outcome, and endline exercises, or other monitoring surveys.
- Verify planned movements and distributions of food or non-food items, resolving common problems and escalating issues as needed.
- Ensure sharing and capacity building of partners in monitoring and evaluation.
- Collect information on generic project activity indicators at the Sub-Office and decentralized WFP Antennae.
- Maintain constant contact with WFP implementation partners to ensure information flow on project activity realization.
- Ensure critical events such as Post Distribution Monitoring and Beneficiary Contact Monitoring are held according to the project/programme M&E calendar.
- Manage databases at the BT/CO level and maintain and update performance indicator tracking tables.
- Provide data for M&E reports and ACRs at the BT level.
- Systematically produce M&E reports for the BTs (Monthly, Quarterly, Annual Reports).
- Ensure/supervise the monitoring of activities and TPMs of Sub-Offices.
Required Experience
6 years of experience in collecting data on program results and impacts, conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, and communicating results to management, partners, and other stakeholders. Experience in using WFP monitoring and evaluation systems and standards.
Qualifications
Minimum secondary school leaving certificate. A post-secondary certificate in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Statistics, Economics, Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Economics, or any other related field is an asset.
